Welcome to the Brandon Amateur Radio Society (BARS).​  BARS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has served Brandon, Valrico, Mango, Seffner, Palm River, Gibsonton, Riverview, and the East Tampa area for over 40 years providing public service and emergency preparedness communications.  ​We serve our community by providing communications for events like the Brandon Fourth of July Parade, and participate in Emergency Communications through Hillsborough County ARES/RACES.

Our Club is proud to carry on the legacy of Fred Keirstead, K4TN (SK).

If the BARS testing sessions listed below do not meet your needs, you can search for additional testing sessions on the ARRL web site.

Dates: For 2022, we will provide Amateur Radio ​testing at 11:00 AM on the following dates:

  • February 5
  • March 5
  • April 2
  • May 7
  • June 4
  • August 6
  • October 1
  • November 5

       (Dates are the first Saturday of the month)
